Introduction

Kerala has established itself as a popular destination for healthcare tourism in Asia due to its high-quality medical facilities, expertise in traditional medicine like Ayurveda, highly skilled medical professionals, cost-effective healthcare, and tourism and hospitality infrastructure providing a holistic experience that combines medical treatments with wellness activities. The state receives over five lakh foreign patients seeking treatment annually. The sector is currently seeing an annual growth of almost 25% to 30% with almost 25% to 30% of the revenue of major hospitals coming from health tourism.

The healthcare industry has also been undergoing significant transformation in recent years, driven by technological advancements, changing demographics, evolving patient expectations, and global health challenges. The rapid adoption of Digital Health, Telemedicine, AI, Healthcare analytics, mHealth among others has revolutionized the way healthcare services are delivered.

It is in this context that Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Kerala is organizing its flagship event, 11th Edition of “Kerala Health Tourism – International Conference & Exhibition” on 29 & 30 August 2024 at Adlux International Convention Center, Ernakulum, Kerala. The program envisages a convergence of healthcare providers, industry leaders, thought leaders and stakeholders from Industry, Government & Academia to promote Kerala as a preferred destination for health tourism. The CII Kerala Health Tourism – International Conference & Exhibition will witness participation from across the globe with facilitation of B2B meetings.
